Quote of the dayMagnhildur Ingólfsdóttir

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speek kindly.

Let go of your Fear n'FLY!Magnhildur Ingólfsdóttir

I always thought I hated routines.. But now I'm realizing that I need it.. My life was a bit "caozic" since I got back from Istanbul; I was moving, doing AIESEC work, shool had already started, doing Herbalife work and starting my thesis [in this order]

I had so lost my priorities and have been in a identy dilemma, kind of..
But now things are coming together... We had this amazing montly business training at Herbalife yesterday, it always clears my focus and increases my confidence going there.

Now I'll just take one step at the time, starting by putting my thesis in priority, finish it and go to Dublin in November (coming back two days before I turn it in)

I bumped into this quote from an AIESECer, purfect moment, I'll be living by it at least for the next 2 months

Have Fun, Be Bold, Challenge Yourself, Stand On Your Own Feet, Live The Moment, Value Family n' Friends, Have Respect, Believe In Yourself That You Can Do Whatever You Want, Whatever Your Goal Is You Will Never Succeed Unless You Let Go Of Your FEAR n' FLY!!!!!!!

la vie la vie..Magnhildur Ingólfsdóttir

Even though the day is getting shorter here and it's just been raining and all grey.. Then I don't feel like talking about that..

I should rather be telling you about all the exciting projects I have in school. Since I came in late from Istanbul, I already missed 2 weeks of school and that counted heavily in one course so the teacher wanted me out of it and into some special assignment..
I think it's something very exciting, specially since I'm all into this internationalization.. We're 5 Icelandic students working on something, that I will know more about after our meeting tomorrow. And in November there'll be a group of students coming from the Nordic countries and Estonia working with us in groups for a week.
This will be something about the financial market and investments and we're all gonna present it in the end..
Cool ha?

And another course we're having, Marketing communication & Design, is about business students coming up with some business idea related to the "Icelandic invation". And we're gonna work on the idea with students from the Academy of Art and in the end we'll defend it at the Art museum of Reykjavík were the judges will be some well known and important guys from Icelandic business life.  WOOOW

And it’s a great honor that our instructor in this course is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in Iceland, he has founded a lot of successful companies so it’s great to have access to a person like that

Þannig að núna borgar sig að spýta í lófana og nýta sér öll þessi tækifæri en ekki sitja bara og grenja yfir að þetta sé of mikil vinna og það sé bara betra að hanga á Facebook allan daginn..

sweet sweet Istanbul!Magnhildur Ingólfsdóttir

ok well I don't quite know how sweet Istanbul is since I only went into the city twice, in a group with a bus..

But what I know is that I love the whole concept of this International Conference of AIESEC. We were around 1000 young people, from more than 100 countries, living together at an University campus for 10 days. The agenda was a tight one, started at 9 am and run until midnight; sessions, meetings and discussions. And after that was party every night, hosted by different group of countries with different themes every time, e.g. Pirates, drag, Africano, Wild Wild West, beach, Turkish and glamour.. I have sooo many photos..Ullandi

It was so amazing, building this network of friends from all over, getting to know totally different reality from what I’m used to here in Iceland. It really affected me.. One day there was a guy in one of the sessions sharing his experience of being HIV positive, just imagine that, it’s horrible. So even though I’ve always been aware of social issues, it has never affected me the way it does now..

My plan WAS to go abroad after my graduation and AIESEC term in July, the most resent plan was to go to Denmark and study photography.. but it’s starting to sound a bit dull. Now I wanna go to South Africa and be “international MC” or “CEEDer” or go there on my internship, try to contribute something there.

Or not quite as exotic would be to go to Germany and study German [has been on my list of dreams since Cologne] There’s a slight difference in those two, hihihi

But however it turns out, I really wanna find a way to be involved in AIESEC and attend the IC in Brazil next year, and Malaysia the year after.. yeap, I’m hooked..

I know I’ve found my path, combining Herbalife and AIESEC together, now I’ll just have to choose the way!

For those University students or resent graduates who are interested in finding out more what the benefits are of AIESEC, we are in the middle of recruitment right now, come for an info-meeting and join us! http://www.aiesec.org/iceland/
